Dear Local Food Box members and local food supporters,
We’ve been hard at work finding a delivey option for town this year, and unfortunately we weren’t able to find a cost effective way to deliver CSA boxes. We are excited that as an alternative we have decided to supply produce through the South Island Food Hub so that people in town can still have access to our vegetables. We are so thankful for your patience while we found a solution and the for the years of support from our town members.
We do still have spots open for Local Food Box subscriptions for pickup at the farm on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday. You can find information for registering here.
South Island Food Hub
The South Island Food Hub offers both harvest boxes and an online store with either home delivery or pickup from pickup locations. Our produce will be available on their store moving forward and some items will appear in their subscription boxes.
You can order food through the South Island Food Hub here. Orders open every Thursday and close every Sunday at midnight. This is our first week offering produce and we have salad mix, zucchinis, cucumbers and garlic scapes. We hope to add more options as the summer goes on! You can filter through producers on their online store to find our offerings every week.
Farmstand
Summer is in full swing over here! Harvesting takes over a lot of our time, but we are still managing to squeeze in some time for weeding and greenhouse work!
We just got 2 new fridges for our farmstand which allows us more room to keep it fully stocked. The stand is open daily from around 9am-6pm and is stocked with salad, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and lots more!
Garlic Harvest
We had a big push to harvest all of our garlic this week, just in time for yesterday’s thunderstorm! We’re excited about some new varities this year (especially the beautiful Early Portuguese)!

We appreciate the years of support and the messages as we tried to figure out delivery options for this year.
